Why would I need to build a legislative coalition? If building a legislative coalition, how do I find other support groups? When entering a coalition, what should I know about the other groups? What promises should I make, or not make, to other coalition members? How should the work of the group be divided? Should I join into a coalition on a particular issue with a group I usually oppose?

In the ever-shifting sands on Capitol Hill, the ability to coordinate efforts and build legislative coalitions has become an import part of most legislative campaigns. In this session, we will discuss how to build such a coalition, the pros and cons of such partnerships, and how the balance of power in the House and Senate determine the need for such alliances.
