Words About WWC

I am delighted Grace has started "Working with Congress." Her experience in Washington spans political, legislative and non-profit sectors. As I've come to know her, I find this combination gives her a unique window into how Congress works, how legislators think and how politics affect the way our nation is governed.

The Honorable Vic Fazio

Senior Advisor, Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld
Former Member of Congress

I have been privileged to call Grace Cummings a friend and colleague for many years. She is an authority on the legislative process and extremely proficient in policy; I consider her an expert in the field.

The Honorable Jim McCrery

Member of Congress

As we wrap up the week I wanted to take a moment to thank Joe and Will for putting together the Leadership Development Training in Gettysburg. This was the best training/leadership development I have been a part of in my entire career. I have reflected on many key points in the last few days that included:

  • Communication Failures and successes and how they pertain to me and my leadership
  • A sense of urgency to accomplish our mission
  • How little things on a daily basis can make a huge impact to our overall goal
  • Finally Leadership, and the impact I can have in leading my team

Understanding the human relationships, political dynamics and operational mechanics of how Congress works is critical for government executives.  "Working with Congress" opens up the "black box" on all these essential concepts and tools in a way that enables leaders in government to perform their Constitutional roles better at the same time as gaining a deeper understanding and appreciation for those they need to work with on Capitol Hill.

Terry Newell

Former Dean of Faculty,
OPM's Federal Executive Institute

I've known Grace from her time on the Hill, and off.  She clearly knows the process up here and makes the connection well.  Few others can navigate the currents of Capitol Hill as well as Grace.  Her instincts -- and hard knowledge -- will serve her clients well.

Rochelle Dornatt
Chief of Staff
Congressman Sam Farr

Grace and I have known each other for quite a few of years. She is one of the best organized, people sensitive individuals with whom I’ve ever run into during in my 35 years in business and 18 years in politics and she really knows her way around Capitol Hill.

The Honorable Amo Houghton
Former Member of Congress
Former Chairman & CEO of Corning

Joe and Will did an outstanding job and I felt privileged to be a part of it. I know there is always a cost associated with something like this, obvious expenses as well as the cost of being out of the field. I can assure you that you have my commitment to do my part to take these learnings to the next level!
