The War on Terror is but the latest response to international and domestic threats. Robust government action is the order of the day. How do federal managers fit in, as part of the effort, as well as a perhaps reluctant recipient of the enhanced attention they all receive?
Some of these programs may have been improvable, and problems avoided, had career people played a larger role; further, the lessons learned are applicable to all government programs, not only those in the national security arena. A highlight of this course is a Point/Counterpoint presentation by teams of students on issues of their own selection.
